A chapel dedicated to Saint Florian, dating from 1834, stands in Velechvín. A hunting lodge dating from 1901 is also located there. The protected Žižka Oak grows in the forest district near Velechvín.

Claudie is based in České Budějovice. From there, it delivers flowers to Velechvín too.
