Sunflowers

The large flower heads of sunflowers create a clear focal point in seasonal bouquets. Only young plants turn towards the sun; as flowering begins, the stem hardens and a cut sunflower no longer makes this movement in a vase. Before placing it in a vase, recut the stem and change the water regularly to help it stay fresh for longer.
